A recursive theme in my life – and therefore this blog, I’m always scouring online for new and old examples of how this maxim has been put into play – both practically and visually.

I came across this modern-looking gem yesterday:


This traditional wood block print, designed by Gail Bryson, is available through Pedlar’s in the UK.  (Make Do and Mend, £115.00).

If I had spare money and wasn’t busy preaching to myself about buying locally, hand-crafting and not consuming – this would definitely be on my wish list. Is it wrong to hope that one of my family or friends aren’t following this same, frugal model and think to buy me this? On a sales note, there are only 100 of these prints in existence, so at least it’s not mass-produced…
